Basic Visiting: A type of visitation authorized by DOC in its correctional facilities in which an AIC and an approved visitor are permitted to see and talk with each other on a scheduled basis for a reasonable period of time with no physical contact behind glass. All AICs who are housed in DSU are on basic visiting status. Some AICs may be in general population but still restricted to basic visiting. Basic visits can be scheduled for 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., or 2:30 p.m.
Privileged Visiting: A type of visitation authorized by DOC in its correctional facilities in which an AIC and an approved visitor are permitted to see and talk with each other on a scheduled basis for a reasonable period of time.
