It gained accreditation from the American Correctional Association (ACA) in 1996 and has since successfully achieved reaccreditation every three years.

The facility’s buildings are divided into four housing units, each of which is designed to house 464 inmates. The facility also has a Special Management Unit (SMU) that is designed to house inmates who require a higher level of supervision and security. The SMU is a self-contained unit that includes 48 cells, a recreation area, and a dining area.
